Das war 2025 – Jahresbericht SILICON ALPS

Sehr geehrte Clusterpartnerin, sehr geehrter Clusterpartner,

2025 war ein dynamisches Jahr für den SILICON ALPS Cluster. Die wichtigsten Entwicklungen, Initiativen und Meilensteine haben wir für Sie in unserem Jahresbericht zusammengefasst.

Mein besonderer Dank gilt Ihnen – unseren Partnerunternehmen und Shareholdern – für Ihr Vertrauen, Ihre Zusammenarbeit und Ihr Engagement. Gemeinsam stärken wir unsere Areas of Excellence und positionieren unsere Region als starken europäischen Standort für Mikroelektronik und Halbleiter.

Auch 2026 bleibt für unsere Branche ein Jahr großer Veränderungen. Geopolitische Entwicklungen, globale Lieferketten und der internationale Wettbewerb um Technologien und Talente fordern Europa, eröffnen aber zugleich neue Chancen für Innovation und Kooperation.

Mit dem Austrian Chips Competence Center (AT-C³) übernimmt Österreich eine wichtige Rolle im europäischen Halbleiter-Ökosystem. Erste Projekteinreichungen sind bereits erfolgt und ermöglichen insbesondere für KMUs und Start-ups die gemeinsame Umsetzung von innovativen Vorhaben mit dem Konsortium.

Darüber hinaus konnten wir mit PIONEERS ein weiteres europäisches Projekt für unsere Region gewinnen. Gleichzeitig unterstützt das neue Programm SILICON ALPS Peak Performer 2.0 gezielt KMUs bei nachhaltiger Transformation und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit.

Als Clusterorganisation verstehen wir uns dabei als Plattform für Orientierung, Vernetzung und konkrete Kooperationsmöglichkeiten innerhalb des europäischen Mikroelektronik-Ökosystems.

Auch 2026 bietet wieder zahlreiche Gelegenheiten zum Austausch und zur strategischen Vernetzung:

• 10. Juni 2026: „Light up the ALPS“, Bambergsaal Villach; Wir feiern 10 Jahre SILICON ALPS Cluster!
• 11. Juni 2026: Lagebild Cyber Security, Minoritensaal, Graz
• 7. Oktober 2026: EBSCON, Messe Graz

This was 2025 – Annual Report of SILICON ALPS

Dear cluster partner,

2025 was a dynamic year for the SILICON ALPS Cluster. We have summarized the most important developments, initiatives, and milestones for you in our annual report.

I would like to extend my special thanks to you—our partner companies and stakeholders—for your trust, cooperation, and commitment. Together, we are strengthening our Areas of Excellence and positioning our region as a strong European hub for microelectronics and semiconductors.

2026 will also be a year of major changes for our industry. Geopolitical developments, global supply chains, and international competition for technologies and talent pose challenges for Europe, but at the same time open up new opportunities for innovation and cooperation.

With the Austrian Chips Competence Center (AT-C³), Austria is taking on an important role in the European semiconductor ecosystem. The first project submissions have already been made, enabling SMEs and startups in particular to jointly implement innovative projects with the consortium.

In addition, we have secured another European project for our region with PIONEERS. At the same time, the new SILICON ALPS Peak Performer 2.0 program specifically supports SMEs in sustainable transformation and competitiveness.

As a cluster organization, we see ourselves as a platform for guidance, networking, and concrete opportunities for cooperation within the European microelectronics ecosystem.

2026 will once again offer numerous opportunities for exchange and strategic networking:

• June 10, 2026: “Light up the ALPS,” Bambergsaal, Villach; We’re celebrating 10 years of the SILICON ALPS Cluster!
• June 11, 2026: Cyber Security Overview, Minoritensaal, Graz
• October 7, 2026: EBSCON, Messe Graz
