About MUST Visibility

MUST Visibility is an innovative Austrian Deeptech startup dedicated to „Making the Invisible, Visible!“. Situated in Graz, the mission is to empower the manufacturing industry with real-time, explainable AI solutions that transform raw machine data into actionable quality insights. We envision a future of autonomous manufacturing where defects in the manufactured part are identified in real-time DURING the machining along with the remaining tool-life of the cutting tool. Simultaneously, providing deep insights on shopfloor automation and communication through digital intelligence.

Operating at the intersection of Industrial IoT (IIoT), advanced manufacturing, and artificial intelligence. Our core expertise lies in high-frequency CNC data analysis, signal processing, and Tiny-ML models for real-time defect detection and tool-life monitoring.

• 2023: 1st patent filed, 2 PhDs completed on Technology (founders), 1st Place for best dissertation to Dr. Abdul Hadi by ÖWGP (Austrian Scientific Society for Production Engineering).

Headquartered in Graz, Austria (Sandgasse 36, 4.OG at Science Park Graz), with a strategic focus on the DACH region and the broader European manufacturing landscape. Also, international production hubs such as India are of keen importance.

Projects

• FFG Basisprogramm: Ongoing

FFG Spin-off Fellowship (Feb 2024 – Jul 2025): With Pro2Future GmbH as the host institution, the technology was further enhanced and developed from a pure research output to an industrial application. Initial successful tests were carried out at smartfactory@tugraz. Investors were convinced of the potential and also other relevant stakeholders. The output of the fellowship was a successful spin-off of the startup, MUST Visibility FlexCo.

Case studies or other

In a pilot project with customer parts, our technology demonstrated the potential to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 13% and production costs by up to 25% by identifying the machining of defective parts early in the cycle.

The trust and support of stakeholders through financial investments, data during manufacturing, and strong expertise in the manufacturing industry provide the necessary impetus for the success of MUST Visibility.

Collaboration with SILICON ALPS

As an active partner in the SILICON ALPS network, MUST Visibility focuses on collaborative innovation within the Smart Manufacturing and Industrial IoT (IIoT) sectors. Our partnership is centered around deep-tech networking, retrofitting and integrating our Edge AI and Tiny-ML software with machine control providers, and forming strategic consortia for joint R&D projects. Together, we aim to drive forward the digital transformation of the machining industry and promote sustainable production standards.

The SILICON ALPS ecosystem acts as a vital catalyst for our scale-up journey. It provides us with direct market exposure to leading manufacturers, automation experts, and technology integrators across Styria, Carinthia, and the wider DACH region. Furthermore, the cluster adds tremendous value by facilitating high-level matchmaking for new pilot customer deployments, providing targeted access to specialized deep-tech funding networks, and embedding us into a highly collaborative local and international tech community.
