AT-C³ Training
From E-Waste to Eco-Design: Future-Ready Electronics
Developed by Silicon Austria Labs
9 December 2026 | Villach
AT-C³ is launching one of its first hands-on trainings, and it challenges the issue of sustainable microelectronics, from design to end-of-life. This training gives you practical tools and frameworks to answer that question in your own work, whether you are studying, researching, engineering, or working in industry.
What the training is about
Electronics shape nearly every part of modern life, but they also create growing challenges: resource consumption, environmental impact, and rising volumes of electronic waste. This training looks at the full lifecycle of electronic products and shows how sustainability can be built in from the very beginning of the design process.
You will learn how to assess the resource efficiency and environmental impacts of electronics using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and how eco-design approaches can turn those insights into better design decisions. The aim is to support the transition from e-waste to eco-design and to help you contribute to responsible, future-ready technology development.
Sabine Lengger leads the training. Connect with her on LinkedIn.
