We have won the Graz Congress Award 2020!
With our lighthouse summit at ❤︎ Europe’s #LetsCluster 2019, which took place from 25-27 March 2019 at the Messecongress Graz, we and our ecosystem were awarded. Due to the corona pandemic, the 12th presentation of the Graz Congress Award could not take place in a festive gala this year. We are all the more grateful that, despite the dynamic times, we were awarded this prize personally by Mayor Siegfried Nagl and City Councillor Günter Riegler in the City Hall of Graz.
We, as Electronic Bases Systems Cluster, are very happy to be among the best, but without the support of our partners, sponsors and all participants, who made this event so successful, this would not have been possible! And for that: THANK YOU.
This award shows us that we made the right decisions, because the Graz Congress Award is considered the honor in the meetings and congress industry. Despite the numerous nominated entries, we were able to prevail over other top-class applicants – thanks to the renowned jury members consisting of the rectors of Graz universities, universities of applied sciences, the Academy of Sciences, the management of Joanneum Research Forschungsgesellschaft mbh and many, many more.
To be among the best is both an honour and a mission for us to continue expanding our network and strengthening our region internationally with personal commitment, firm determination and wholehearted dedication.
It is a special concern of ours to use the prize money we have won to support young, potential skilled workers of tomorrow in their earliest years of education. In doing so, we would like to support a kindergarten in Carinthia as well as in Styria, which teaches scientific and technical topics to young people in theory as well as in practice, thus creating the talents of the future for our ecosystem.
#LetsCluster // At a glance
The overall goal was to create a business platform for our ecosystem with #LetsCluster, on which the region of Southern Austria as well as its leading companies could present themselves to international decision makers.
#LetsCluster took place from 25-27 March 2019 at the Messecongress Graz. The three-day summit was a public conference with many side events (e.g. Open Innovation Day, Hackathon, DeepTech4Good Pitchings and many more) and a HighTech Expo, where the big names of the national and international micro- and nanoelectronics industry presented their solutions to an international audience. Furthermore, the participants were able to network with each other thanks to an excellent B2B matchmaking opportunity.
In addition to the two major keynotes – Bruce Bateman (CTO LiteOn and Smart City Evangelist) and Angelika Sodian (Managing Director of NiO, UK) – the conference topics focused on the four areas of Smart Health, Smart Manufacturing, Smart Mobility and Smart Home/Smart Energy. With 1200 visitors from 30 countries, 144 speakers in 43 sessions, 74 exhibitors and 160 “official” and far more B2B matches, #LetsCluster was definitely a great success!
