the first DeepTech4Good event was held!

 Paris, July 11th 2018

Yesterday, July 11th 2018, the first DeepTech4Good event was held – a Start Up Europe initiative aimed at revealing the best European Deep Tech Startups and supporting them in their growth.

Objective N°1: Make Europe a global hub for Deep Tech and bring out future unicorns. 

At the end of this day, inaugurated by the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, 8 startups, out of 120 candidates, were elected by a hundred investors and corporates to be supported in their various stages of growth at the European level. 

A support that will allow them to meet the key players of their field on both business, technological and financial side in each European country partner of DeepTech4Good: Spain, Germany, Austria and France. 

 

 Launch of the DeepTech4Good European Acceleration Programme: 8 DeepTech start-ups were selected yesterday in Paris! 

 

Programme of the day: 

Workshops with corporates, startups and experts aiming to bring them together on projects funded by the European Commission (H2020 projects) on 4 areas: Mobility, Health, Smart City and Industry 4.0 . During these sessions, discussions have been initiated around electric mobility, digital patient journey, augmented reality / virtual reality in the city and robotics for the maintenance of industrial infrastructures. 

Pitch sessions – Corporate and Fundraising – and a hundred B2B meetings were then held throughout the afternoon in the City Hall’s salons. 

Among the corporates were present: Panasonic, Oracle, Orange, EDF, Ericsson,… and investors: Demeter, ISAI, Partech, Elaia parners, Safran Corporate Ventures, Airbus Ventures,…. 

 

Among the 8 winners: 

– VitaDX, in Health, a promising startup that has developed after 4 years of research, a technology for early detection of bladder cancer by combining fluorescence with a predictive tool based on Deep Learning. 

– Iconem, in Smart City, a startup whose mission is to contribute to the preservation of historic sites around the world. It has developed a unique technology of drone scan associated with 3D to achieve digital duplicates of the most valuable sites. 

And the other winners: Partnering Robotics (Smart City), CAILabs and Teratonics (Industry 4.0), HySiLabs and Optinvent (Mobility), DAMAE Medical (Health). 

 

The next event will be held on November 7th, 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany. 4 other events will be planned in Paris, Graz, Barcelona and Heidelberg in 2019
