TECHHOUSE and Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark launch new accelerator program in Graz
The innovation experts at TECHHOUSE and Raiffeisen-Landesbank (RLB) Styria are launching a newly designed accelerator program for startups and those who want to become startups in April 2021 at the newly built ZWI Hub for Innovators in Graz. Applications are now open.
In addition to the further development of early-stage tech teams, startups and university spin-offs, the main focus is on collaboration between participating startups and established large companies. Established Austrian industrial companies from various sectors have been recruited as partners for this purpose.
The program is divided into two concurrent accelerator tracks:
On the one hand, 5 startups from the topics of Sustainability, Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0, Financial Services and Health Tech are being sought, and on the other hand, 6 teams that will work on concrete challenges together with the industrial partners Andritz AG, Primetals Technologies Austria, Christof Industries, the next-incubator of Energie Steiermark, the HASSLACHER Group and Österreichische Hagelversicherung.
In addition to highly relevant workshop formats in areas such as product building, financing, funding, business development, or IP & legal, the participating teams can expect valuable benefits such as free accommodation in the brand new TECHHOUSE location for the entire period of the 4-month intensive acceleration phase, as well as the chance to receive an investment of up to € 50,000.00 from RLB Styria.
After the 4-month intensive acceleration phase, the participating teams also have the opportunity to refine their business ideas for 8 additional months in a long-term acceleration phase.
“By supporting the TECHHOUSE Accelerator, we promote entrepreneurship and innovation in Styria. This strengthens the business location and regional value creation,” says RLB Steiermark General Director Martin Schaller.
“With RLB Steiermark, we are not only pleased to have gained the region’s leading bank as a strategic partner for the Accelerator program, but also partners from industry who recognize the added value of collaboration between startups and established, globally active organizations,” adds Johannes Müller, Managing Director of TECHHOUSE, to this.
In addition, the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), the Know-Center – Research Center for Big Data, AI and Data-Driven Business, the Human.technology Styria, the AC Styria Mobility Cluster, the Gründungsgarage, Silicon Alps Cluster, the Center for Knowledge and Innovation Transfer (ZWI), the Austrian Angels Investors Association (AAIA), the female factor, and AI Austria are already on board as network partners.
