Organization and key partners

The Austrian Startup World Cup is organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures as a global conference and competition that brings together the top startups, VCs, entrepreneurs and world-class tech CEOs. It already hosted 50+ regional startup competitions. In May 2021 Austrian Angel Investors Association and AustrianStartups will bring the Startup World Cup to Austria and host it as part of the ViennaUp’21.

The Austrian competition is backed by the aaia, the Austrian Angel Investors Association is Austria’s leading network for angel investors. Founded in 2012 as a non-profit association, the organization is one of the leading angel networks in Europe nowadays. AustrianStartups is a neutral, independent and non-profit platform for innovative entrepreneurship in Austria. It is an open place for startups, change-makers and interested persons. They support the aaia as a startup partner.

Austrian Regionals

There will be three digital pre-selection-events for three different teams: Team East, Team South and Team West. Each team consist out of three Austrian federal states. In each of them one startup in each of the four different categories will be selected by a jury to pitch at the Austrian finals in May at Vienna Up.
