Intel is the latest shareholder of Silicon Alps

We are pleased to announce US semiconductor manufacturer Intel as latest shareholder of the Silicon Alps cluster. On February 21, 2017, Intel took over the last slot of potential shareholders of the cluster. With Infineon and NXP owner Qualcomm, three of the seven most important chip manufacturers worldwide take over responsibility for the further development of the Silicon Alps cluster. In addition roundabout 60 members from the microelectronic sector, the eight partners, namely Intel, NXP, Infineon, Epcos, AVL, AT&S, Ortner Cleanroom und CISC, set up the framework for future initiatives of the Silicon Alps cluster. Besides the industrial shareholders, the regional funding agencies of Carinthia and Styria as well as the respective Further partners are the economic development agencies of the provinces of Carinthia and Styria,KWF and SFG, as well as the respective regional Federation of Industrialists.
