Graz, Austria, 05.11.2019: KML Vision GmbH releases a significant update of its Artificial Intelligence based image analysis platform IKOSA®. First applications provide an easy automated analysis of assays used in Life Science research.
In spring this year, the Austrian deep-tech company KML Vision GmbH launched the first version of their flagship-product IKOSA®. IKOSA® is a highly scalable and flexible web-based platform for modern image data management used by companies and research institutions that are dealing with growing amounts of image data. With the recent release, IKOSA® now includes AI-based image analysis applications to support users with their repetitive and tedious investigation tasks and provide highly accurate and reproducible results. The first applications can be applied to images of angiogenesis and fungi phenotype characterization assays. “We are proud of this significant step towards our vision of improving Life Science R&D and providing high quality and user-friendly tools for decision support,” states CEO and co-founder DDr. Michael Mayrhofer-Reinhartshuber, “further important applications are in our pipeline and will follow soon.” The whole platform can be either used online or deployed on-premise.

KML Vision GmbH was founded by Dr. Philipp Kainz und DDr. Michael Mayrhofer-Reinhartshuber in August 2018 and is based in Graz, Austria. Its customers include companies from the field of medical technology, pharma industry and environmental sciences, as well as corporate and academic research institutions. In October 2018, the Styrian Business Development Agency SFG became co-shareholder due to an investment through their Venture Capital Program.
