The LOUNGES with focus on cleanroom and process technology are already a fixed component in the German fair landscape and took place this year from 5.-7. February 2019 in Messe Karlsruhe. 220 exhibitors presented on 12,000 m2 an interesting and innovative program. In addition to the large exhibition space dedicated to products and services there were over 300 lectures, promotions and product shows, which allowed the visitors a variety of insights into the subject of cleanroom and process technology. Highlights were not only the variety of high-quality inputs, but also the inviting atmosphere –a definitory characteristic of this fair.
In addition to thematic areas such as Forum Hygienic Design, GMP Talks with representatives of the authorities, the new Pharma Forum and the Darkzone, the clusters Human.technology Styria and Silicon Alps organized for the first time an Austrian Forum. Its aim was to present the accomplishments of the Austrian companies and scientific institutions in the field of cleanroom and process technology. Projects, project results and products were presneted at company stands as well as in numerous poster presentations of renowned Austrian institutions, such as TU Graz, RCPE, acib, BBMRI-eric, Alpen-Adria University Klagenfurt, Carinthian Tech Research or BOKU Vienna. Some innovative start-ups such as FEPATEC, SilentMode or Innerspace also took the opportunity to introduce their innovations to a broad specialist audience. The Austrian contribution to the lecture programme consisted among others of the talk of Hubert Jarnig from Ortner Reinraumtechnik on the „Isolatortechnik in Zeiten der Industrie 4.0“ and the presentation of the goals and future activities of the cooperation focus group „Cleanroom & Technology“ (Silicon Alps & Human.technology Styria).
The Austria Forum was rounded off with an Austrian delicacy buffet, well-frequented and enjoyed by the visitors and exhibitors.
