On September 30th the second Spot on RFID took place in Ramada Hotel in Unterpremstetten.
It was a gathering of the strong RFID community in Styria.
Nearly 30 guests listened to the exiting Talks. First starting with the latest innovations from CISC semiconductors. CISC’s CTO Josef Preishuber-Pflügl gave brought insight into their latest developments and products. After That CEO Alfred Binder from cilab shows the world’s fastest NFC test system and gave the best practice insight on his work with his costumers. Enhancing this by lates research highlights Herwig Zeiner (Joanneum Research) and Lukas Görtschacher (TU Graz) gave an overview of their project on Dependable, secure and time-aware sensor networks (DeSSnet) for the latest research and application highlights. To conclude the R&D part of the interesting evening Franz Krainer from NXP talked about the Secured trustworthy IoT Platform (STIP) project. To wrap and round this exiting program Peter Fuhrmann from INDUSTRIA Oberländer Ingenieur-GmbH & Co. KG (Germany) gave a nice outside view a new possible fields for implementing the RFID technology. The discussion was very lively and went on until the last bit of the provided buffet was eaten!
