59. Digitaldialog: Robotersicherheit im Fokus
The 59th. Digitaldialog, which this, time took place in Klagenfurt, was all about physical and cyber-physical robot security. This time, the Silicon Alps Cluster event was organized by lead partner JOANNEUM RESEARCHresearching company mbH.
The greeting of the approximately 60 interested people was done by Univ.-Profs. DI Dr. Michael Hofbaur, Director of the ROBOTICS Institute of JOANNEUM RESEARCH. Federico Vicentini, PhD, of the National Research Council of Italy, addressed critical points in human-robot cooperation in his exciting keynote speech: “There will always be a residual risk. Our job is to minimize this.” Erlend Depine (Bearing Point) then spoke about cyber security in the industrial environment and made it clear that “even traditional industrial manufacturing companies are now IT giants due to digitization, which offer corresponding targets”. Assoc. Prof. DI Dr. Peter Schartner from the Alpen-Adria University Klagenfurtadded: “Robots need people’s trust – those who lose trust lose business”. He suggests integrating a kind of black box into robot systems. Hofbaur then led a lively discussion.
